LPN full-time opening at the Tri-Area Community Health Center in Floyd. Medical office experience and experience with EMR are a plus. Qualified Candidate must be self-confident, a fast learner with active listening, and strong communication skills. The candidate must be willing to work as a team member of a multidisciplinary team. Current Virginia nursing license required. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Physician - Floyd

Tri-Area Community Health (https://triareahealth.org/) is a Federally Qualified Health Center headquartered in Laurel Fork, Virginia, with locations in Ferrum, Floyd, Laurel Fork and Troutdale Virginia. For almost 40 years, Tri-Area has provided care to underserved individuals in Southwest Virginia. We offer integrated primary medical and behavioral health care in all locations and have pharmacies in Ferrum and Laurel Fork. All of our sites are National Committee for Quality Assurance-certified Patient-Centered Medical Homes and medical professionals at all sites are eligible for National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment.

POSITION: We are seeking a Board-certified / Board-eligible Family Medicine Physician to work 3 days a week and join the Floyd Clinic. There is the possibility of this becoming a full-time position when the addition to the clinic is complete (which is anticipated to be December 2022).

This position involves providing complex direct medical care of patients (in person and through technology), including older adults, individuals with two or more chronic medical conditions, and people experiencing difficult social drivers of health. The work is performed independently with oversight provided by the Medical Director. The Physician must operate in accordance with the terms and conditions of the various contracts and grants providing for the funding of programs and projects.

Pay will be based on training and experience. We provide an excellent benefits package.

REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from a medical school approved by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association or the Committee on Hospitals of the Bureau of Professional Education of the American Osteopathic Association. New graduates are welcome to apply.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Must have by date of hire and maintain current throughout employment:

  • Licensed to practice medicine by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • DEA license.
  • Medicare PIN and UPIN numbers.

  • Have or be able to obtain BLS/CPR or ACLS certification within 30 days of hire
  • Board certification in Family Medicine strongly preferred.

Billing Specialist - Corporate

Tri-Area Community Health is seeking a full-time Billing Specialist. This position is primarily responsible for billing primary and secondary insurance as well as transmitting electronic healthcare claims and researching denied claims. Experience in medical billing and coding is required. Associate Degree preferred. Must be detail-oriented, have excellent organization and time management skills. The position will be located in the corporate building and maybe a hybrid model after training is complete. Pay is based on education and experience.

Janitor/Housekeeping - Floyd

Tri-Area Community Health in Floyd has an immediate opening for a full-time janitor/housekeeper. Duties include cleaning exam rooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and all other areas of the clinic as assigned. This position will require travel to the other sites in Laurel Fork and Floyd as needed. Reliable transportation is required. The employee will be required to mop floors, vacuum, sweep, and remove trash as well as many additional cleaning tasks within the clinic. Experience is required and experience with cleaning a medical facility as related to COVID-19 concerns is a plus. Some lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and stooping will be involved. Case Manager - Laurel Fork

Tri-Area Community Health Center in Laurel Fork is seeking a full-time Case Manager/Care Coordinator. Experience and a minimum of BS degree required, Human Services preferred. The position is responsible for coordinating patient access to care needs. Provides additional support to individual patients on occasion. Coordinates follow-ups and referrals for patients following ER visits and hospitalizations. Referrals for specific programs as well as general consults, indigent care, and maintaining a broad referral network through outreach are all components of the position. Collaborative communication and positive working relationships with clinic staff, behavioral health and medical providers, and community partners are necessary skills.
