Our Trillium Award Winner and Nominees!

Like the native trillium flower that blooms in the Blue Ridge Mountains and signals the arrival of spring and renewal in our mountain communities, our Trillium Award recipients bring hope, healing, and positive transformation to those they serve.

Each week on Trillium Tuesday we will highlight one of the nominees for this quarter!

Tri-Area Community Health is excited to announce that the Trillium Award winner for September 2026 is Elizabeth "Beth" Vaughan. Beth is a Social Work Case Manager and has been with Tri-Area for one year.

Some of the comments from her nominations: "Beth is caring, dependable, and always willing to help anyone who needs it. She truly cares about the patients she works with and does everything she can to connect them with the help and resources they need."

"What truly sets her apart is that her commitment comes from the heart. She doesn't do these things because she has to; she does them because she genuinely cares."

"She is approachable, relatable, welcoming, and down-to-earth, which makes people feel comfortable asking for help. What stands out most is that her compassion is always followed by action. She doesn’t simply express concern; she thinks about what resource, connection, or support might make a difference and then helps people access it."

We are now accepting nominations for the next quarters Trillium Award to be announced in December. Use this link to nominate a staff member that has made a difference in your life. https://www.triareahealth.org/trillium-award
