Technology
By using specialized equipment, the provider can remotely listen to the patient's heart and lungs, look into the ears and throat, and talk to the patient by video. This allows the patient to receive care without leaving the school grounds. The parents are then contacted with results and diagnosis. The parents also have the option to come to the school and be present for the child's exam or virtually join the exam.
Benefits for Students and Families
- Increased student time in the classroom by eliminating or reducing travel time to outside appointments
- Increased access to care with fewer barriers such as transportation, parents’ time away from work, minimal support, etc.
- Improved grades and attendance, fewer disruptive behaviors, and increased family engagement.
- Emotionally regulated students with enhanced academic performance.
- Services provided by licensed community professionals who abide by state regulations and provide mental health services in a safe and supportive school environment

Angie Tallman, LPC
I am a licensed professional counselor, that has had over 16 years of experience working with a wide range of individuals. I have worked with children and adolescents all the way to geriatric populations. I have worked with multiple and dual diagnosis. I have worked with crisis services, court service units, and local CSB's. I truly enjoy finding people's strengths and using those skills and strengths, learning ways to increase self-esteem, motivation, and overall well-being. I enjoy nature and out of the box thinking. I enjoy seeing the changes in positivity in people's lives especially when they feel there is little to be positive about and then quickly realize that even in our darkest of times there are things that we can have hope and excitement about. I am a mother of five children and I am also a grandmother of 7 grandchildren, so I have lots of experience with family dynamics. I also have a blended family and a mixed-race family as well as family that are in the LGBTQ+ community so there is no judgment and always an open door for any concerns that you may have.
